The deliciousness of Hotel Chocolat is now no longer a secret, with the expansion of the brand across the country in recent years means that most of the UK has now had the pleasure of sampling the very best chocolate around. It is a firm favourite of mine to give as gifts. Have a cheeky peek at their Mother’s Day range including the renowned H-Box and Sleekster. http://www.hotelchocolat.com/uk/shop/mothers-day-gifts

Much better than cut flowers and longer lasting, why not treat your Mother to this beautiful gift selection from Chiltern Seeds. Six packets of seeds for only £10.00, the selection includes firm favourites for any garden including Cosmos, Sweet Peas and Nigella. Each gift selection is lovingly hand-wrapped and can be sent directly to your loved one. http://www.chilternseeds.co.uk/item_MUM16_mothers_day_selection

itsy bitsy

I have recently found the overly cute products from Itsy Bitsy, they have a fantastic selection of hand-made, personalised keepsake jewellery in a range of beads, necklaces, charms and much more. This would be an ideal gift for a new mummy. Paw prints from the furry babies in your home can also be made. Have a look at their Facebook page and drop a message https://www.facebook.com/itsybitsyimprints?hc_location=ufi

If you are wanting to give a ‘day out’ gift like a spa day these are always available on website likes Groupon, or just pop into your local spa and they will have a range of packages to suit a range of budget. Perhaps an afternoon tea would be more appealing, there are a surprising amount of hotels, cafes and big country houses in the area that offer this.

I hope you have enjoyed the read. Wishing all Mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day, with love from fortheloveofpeas x.

Valentines Gifts for the Green-Fingered Love of you Life

So January has just flown by, and I must give my apologies for not blogging as life has just been crazy busy. So much has happened and so quickly, I do feel like I have been in a bit of a whirlwind. Now it is February and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner I want to share with you my recommended gifts for the green-fingered love of your life.

Valentines Mix

Chiltern Seeds have created these beautifully gift wrapped seed selections, very fittingly named as the Wine and Dine Mixes. One a collection of stunning flowers and the other with scrumptious vegetables. http://www.chilternseeds.co.uk/gifts/gift-selections

Recently I have fallen in love with Emma Bridgewater crockery. The patterns are quaint and cute, yet I think they would fit in perfectly to both a rickety cottage kitchen or a more modern surrounding. These would also make a great addition to an allotmenteer’s shed, perhaps next to the biscuit tin (if you are such a lucky person to have a shed on your allotment)! Above are two of my favourite items from her range and equally perfect as Valentine’s gifts. View all Valentine’s ideas on the website here: http://www.emmabridgewater.co.uk/icat/valentines

Number three on my list for this Valentine’s Day is this overly cute and shabby chic style seed tin. A must have for every gardener, a cool dry place to store those valuable seed packets. This one is available from John Lewis
